CYACOMB EXAMINER

The Cyacomb Examiner software in this Trial Downloadable Software is Copyright (2022) Cyacomb Forensics Ltd and is supplied on an as-is basis for the purpose of evaluation only, for a period of no more than 22 days from first use. The evaluation period may be extended by agreement with Cyacomb Forensics. 

You can install the software for evaluation on one computer.

You may not retain copies of the software after the evaluation period – any copies or installations of the software must be removed.

DEMONSTRATION DATA & OTHER SOFTWARE

The demonstration data supplied with the trial downloadable software is all obtained from the internet and is supplied for use in evaluation of Cyacomb Forensics’ software only. No licence for any other purpose is implied.

OTHER SOFTWARE

Cyacomb Forensics’ software makes use of third party software libraries to operate.  Copyright information for these libraries can be found in the User Manual. 

Some of the third party software is Open Source or Public Domain, in which case links to download source code are also included in the manual where relevant.

TRIAL VERSION LIMITATIONS

All the software provided as part of the trial downloadable software executes in the same way that the full versioned software does. However, some of the displayed results are redacted. In addition, Cyacomb Examiner will be time limited to the length of the trial period.

ALL SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS”

The software is provided "as-is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and noninfringement. In no event shall Cyacomb Forensics Ltd, the authors or copyright holders be liable for any claim, damages or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort or otherwise, arising from, out of or in connection with the software or the use or other dealings in the software.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Customer acknowledges that all Intellectual Property Rights in the Software and any Maintenance Releases belong and shall belong to Cyacomb Forensics and the Customer shall have no rights in or to the Software other than the right to use it in accordance with the terms of this Licence.

CONFIDENTIALITY

During the term of this licence and thereafter, you agree to keep confidential all, and shall not use for its own purposes (other than implementation of this Licence) nor without the prior written consent of the other disclose to any third party (except its professional advisors or as may be required by any law or any legal or regulatory authority) any, information of a confidential nature (including trade secrets and information of commercial value) which may become known to you and which relates to Cyacomb Forensics or any of its Affiliates, unless that information is public knowledge or already known to such party at the time of disclosure, or subsequently becomes public knowledge other than by breach of this Agreement, or subsequently comes lawfully into the possession of such party from a third party. Each party shall use its reasonable endeavours to prevent the unauthorised disclosure of any such information.
